HOW CAN I PLACE MY ORDER?

You can place your order online through our online store. We require a minimum of 24 administrative business hour notice for all orders. Orders that cannot be fulfilled will receive a cancellation notice along with a full refund.

WHAT IS A FRESH-MADE PAELLA?

Fresh-made paellas are made to order based on your requested time for pick-up or delivery. This means our chef calculates the cooking time accordingly so that the paella will come off our burner as you arrive for the pick-up or leave our commissary kitchen for delivery.

All fresh-made paella comes with crusty bread, lemon wedges and our house-made garlic alioli.

DO I GET TO TAKE THE PAELLA PAN HOME?

Yes! We cook your paella in the same paella pan that you get to bring home with you to enjoy! We charge a $50.00 pan deposit but this deposit will be refunded to your original form of payment once you return the paella pan to our commissary kitchen located in Burnaby.

Please note that pan deposits will be charged as a “shipping fee” at checkout. We apologize in advance for any confusion.

DO YOU OFFER DELIVERY?

Yes! We have partner up with Hungerhub, a delivery platform that specializes in offering deliveries for caterers in Canada. The minimum spending requirement to qualify for delivery service is $300 pre-tax. It is a door-to-door delivery, meaning one driver will take one order at a time to ensure our paellas are delivered to you fresh and ready to serve at the specific requested time. You will be able to receive real-time tracking of your order and information to connect with your driver once the order leaves our commissary kitchen for delivery.

All delivery requests must be placed through Hungerhub with advance notice. Orders will be cut off at 2pm daily for the next day. A $50.00 pan deposit will apply to every paella ordered at the time of checkout. This deposit will be refunded to your original form of payment once you return the paella pan to our commissary kitchen located in Burnaby.

You are also welcome to request for a pick up of the paella pans the following business day between 7:30am – 10:30am. An additional $35.00 pick up fee will apply.

DO I HAVE TO REHEAT MY PAELLA?

No, you do not have to reheat your paella! Since all of our paellas are made fresh to order based on your pick-up and/or delivery time, they are meant to be hot and ready to serve when you receive them. However, if you are planning to serve the paella at a later time from receiving it, you can reheat the paella. Reheating instructions can be reviewed by scanning the QR code on your paella or reviewed online here.

WHAT KIND OF RICE DO YOU USE?

We use Arroz Para Paella (Paella Rice) imported from Valencia for our paellas. This is where paella rice is originated (from the South of Spain). They also know as “Super Rice”, a type of rice that has a high concentration of “amylose” which is a starch that decreases stickiness and increase firmness of the rice, making it the best candidate to cook a perfect paella! Our Arroz Para Paella is also available for purchase though our online store

IS PAELLA GLUTEN-FREE?

Yes! Our paellas are made with paella rice and stocks made from natural ingredients (no added preservatives). They are 100% gluten-free! However, our bread that comes with the paella is not gluten-free but is packed separately from the paella.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

Each portion is considered as a full entrée serving, ideal to feed an adult with an average appetite. This means, your guest count will typically match the portions required quite accurately. When selecting your choice of paella, you can account for the actual portions required based on your group’s taste preference, appetite, or dietary restrictions.

The minimum portions to order per paella is 4 portions.

CAN I USE MY OWN PAN OR BRING MY OWN CONTAINER?

Our paella pans are imported from Spain, this is something we take pride of to ensure the authenticity of our food. So unfortunately, we are not offering to cook in personal pans at this time.

If you like us to transfer the paella into your own container at the time of pick-up, please contact our team in advance so that we can make proper arrangements. We DO NOT recommend this option.

Paella Rice is a delicate grain, putting a fresh and hot paella in a container will allow the rice to stack and continue to cook, causing the rice to overcook during the commute to your destination. It will also take away the experience from enjoying an authentic paella the paella pan itself!

HOW BIG ARE THE PAELLA PANS?

The size of the paella pan will be determined by the portions you order. Our smallest pan is 50cm wide in diameter and the largest pan is 90cm wide in diameter. They will fit inside any regular vehicles including a sedan.

However, we do recommend that you clear out some trunk space prior to your arrival for the pick-up, so that the paella can stay secure on a flat service during the transit back to your destination.

HOW DO YOU EAT A PAELLA?

There are many ways to enjoy your paella but we recommend that you use a serving spoon or a rice paddle. Carefully move any toppings off to the side of your paella pan or to a serving plate. Scrape and loosen the rice, this will make it easier for you to serve and plate the paella for your guests. You can then add the toppings to the plate for a complete dish to serve.

Paella is best served with a squeeze of lemon to balance the bold flavours, served with a side of bread and our house-made garlic alioli.

DO I HAVE TO CLEAN THE PAELLA PANS?

Our paella pans imported from Spain are made from steel. Steel will rust when water is left on the surface of the pan over a period of time. You are not required to clean the pans but if you choose to wash them before you return it to us, we kindly ask that you ensure the pan is completely dried off with a kitchen towel right after the wash.

Add any cooking oil to the pan and allow it to coat the surface to avoid oxidization.

If you are not planning to wash the pan, please gently wipe off any remains with a disposable kitchen towel and keep the pan in a large garbage bag as residue left on the pan is already a natural coat that prevents oxidization.

HOW AND WHEN DO I RETURN THE PAELLA PANS?

Paella pans can be returned to our commissary kitchen located at 106-3191 Thunderbird Crescent in Burnaby. Please call us at 604-336-0136 before your trip out to our kitchen as we might close earlier for live experiences (offsite events).

If you have requested for a delivery, our driver can return for the pan pick up. If you are unable to attend to the door, please leave the pan in a garbage bag and leave it on your doorstep, or wherever is safe and visible to our driver for the pick-up. An additional $35.00 pick up fee will apply.

You can also contact us to make alternative arrangements.
